Sheats Structural Consulting, Inc. is led by Reed Sheats, P.E., S.E. (Georgia Registration Numbers PE029645 and SE 000602). Reed is also licensed in Alabama, North Carolina, and South Carolina. Reed has extensive structural engineering experience in all of the project types referenced as well as topnotch education credentials including both Bachelor’s of Science and Master’s of Science in Civil Engineering (Structures Tract) degrees from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Reed has developed and led seminars and written articles on a variety of structural topics including Wood Construction and Special Inspections. Reed also attends several educational seminars each year and reads numerous structural engineering journals in order to stay abreast of the latest trends in the field.

Reed personally serves as the project manager and lead engineer on each project performed by Sheats Structural Consulting, Inc. to ensure that all projects meet our quality standards.
